Personal Biography
Dr. Carter has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1980. He spent six years in academics, where he was an OMS program director at the Carle Clinic in Urbana, IL, and then he relocated to Nashville to build a group surgical practice. He and his wife, Toni, have four grown children and three grandchildren. They live in Nashville with their two Great Danes, Millie and Maddie. Dr. Carter likes to spend his recreational time playing squash, running, and traveling to Nantucket.
